Pine Creek Saddle Club events will be held every other Saturday night starting at 6:00 p.m. on May 8, 2010 unless due to the weather conditions then the events will be cancelled. Check home page of Website for Show Dates. *Membership $35/Show Year-Members fee $5.00 per rider or

NOTE: Halter Classes will be shown-Mares, Geldings, and Stallions-together and judged separately.  ***Pleasure Classes and Speed Classes will alternate each week.***

Rules and Regulations
 
BASIC RULES
  • Pine Creek Saddle Club is an active member of the Tennessee State Saddle Club Association and will abide by the rules of that organization.
  • Pine Creek Saddle Club Officers and Board Members may amend any rule or add any rule by vote.  That rule will govern except during an open show.
  • All rules are posted and any member may receive a copy from the secretary.
  • Any horse on the grounds must have a proof of a negative coggins test.  Any officer or board member may ask to see proof at any given time.  A Xerox copy of the test must be given to the seretary upon joining the club.
  • Dues for the 2010 season are $35.00 per family living in the same household.  Every person will pay $5.00 each night per rider or $8.00 per family.  Anyone may ride one show without being a member (with a negative coggins), but points will not count until the rider has a paid membership.  Without a paid membership, the cost will be $5.00 per night, per person to participate.  No points will count until the annual membership is paid.  Once the membership is paid, points will count from that date foward.
  • There will be no minimum riders required before points will count for any class.  Points will be awarded as follows:
    • First Place         -  5 points
    • Second Place   -  4 points
    • Third Place        -  3 points
    • Fourth Place      -  2 points
    • Fifth Place          -  1 point
  • All riders must be ready when their name is called.  After a rider's name is called 3 times, the rider will be skipped and the announcer will proceed with the next rider.
  • The riding season will officially begin  May 22 through August 28, 2010.  Points for the Saddle Club will incur May 22nd through August 28th.  State high points only incur May 22nd throught August 14th.  If a member chooses to ride more than one horse in an event, the first horse that the member rides will always be counted toward points.
  • T.S.C.A. - 2009 Revised Rule 7: No contestant can compete against their self and must ride under their own name.  A contestant shall compete for only one club at the annual State Show.
  • Exhibition runs will be permitted at $3.00 per run if the same rider chooses to run the same class more than once.  No points will count for additional rides.

ABSOLUTELY NO:

  • Abuse to horses.
  • Profanity
  • Alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed on the premises.
  • Tying horses to fences.
  • Climbing on the fences
  • Horses allowed in or around the concession and bleacher area.
  • Running horses in the driveway area.
  • Horses in the arena while it is being worked.  No exceptions, this is for your own safety.

***NOTE: If you are caught using profanity, drugs, alcoholic beverages, etc. while on the premises, YOU Will be asked to leave or correct your behavior.***

  • Let's all remember that our young riders / fellow riders in the arena during warm-up.  Please show courtesy and respect towards everyone participating in our shows.
  • Please remember to use the trash cans provided by the Saddle Club.  Let's help to keep the grounds clean.  Also, remember to recycle all aluminum cans in the appropriate bins that are provided.
  • Our goal for the 2010 riding season is to see smiles on all of the faces at PINE CREEK SADDLE CLUB.  We hope everyone has a terrific 2010 season.
  • Thanks to everyone for his or her support and help at each and every show.
  • If there is anything that needs to be discussed, please feel free to contact one of the 2010 officers or board members, as we want to make every effort possible to make our Saddle Club the best in the state!

CLASS RULES

  1. Open Saddle Horse Halter-Attire to match breed.  Walk, etc-at judge's discretion.
  2. Open Quarter Horse Halter-Attire is to be western, conformation, walk and jog.-at judge's discretion.
  3. Lead Line-Riders 6 years and under.  Ponies 52" and under.  Western attire, reins.  Note: Anyone on a larger horse will be allowed to show but will be judged accordingly.
  4. Pony Pleasure-Ponies 52" and under.  Riders 12 years and under.  Ponies will be asked to walk and favorite gait.  Riders attire must match horse breed.
  5. Youth Open Shod Saddle Class-Riders 17 years and under.  Riders with English tack should have English attire.  Riders with Western tack should have Western attire.  This is open class and is defined as hoof to shoe with no pad of any type.  Bands are allowed.  Shoe can be a homemade keg shoe.  Riders will be asked to walk and run / walk.  Judges' option to ask the horse to back.
  6. Adult and Youth Western Pleasure-Adult riders 18 years and over.  Youth riders 17 years and under.  All riders have Western tack and attire.  Horse will be asked to walk, jog, lope, and back.  Split reins, any bit, one or two handed.  No mechanical hackamores allowed.  Any training devices used in this class will be judged accordingly.  Classes will be judged separately.
  7. Adult Flat Shod-Riders 18 years and over.  Riders with English tack should have English attire.  Riders with Western tack should have Western attire.  This is a flat shod class and is defined as hoof to shoe with no pads of any type.  Bands permitted, shoe can be 1" x 1 1/2".  Riders will be asked to walk and run / walk.  Judges' option to ask the horse back.  Any training devices used will be judged accordingly.
  8. Open, Walk, Trot-Any age rider.  Western tack and attire.  Any bit, split reins, one or two handed.  Horses will be asked to walk and trot.  Judges' option to have horses back.  Any training devices used will be judged accordingly.
  9. Youth Keg Shod Saddle Pleasure-Riders 17 years and under.  Keg shoe only.  Riders with English tack should have English attire.  Riders with Western tack should have Western attire.  Riders will be asked to walk and run / walk.  Judges' option to ask the horse to back.  Any training devices used will be judged accordingly.
  10. Open Shod Saddle Pleasure-Any age rider.  Riders with English tack should have English attire.  Riders with Western tack should have Western attire.  This is an open class and is defined as hoof to shoe with no pad of any type.  Bands are allowed.  Shoe can be a homemade keg shoe.  Riders will be asked to walk and run / walk.  Judges' option to ask horse back.
  11. Open Keg Shod Saddle Pleasure-Any age rider.  Keg shoe only.  Riders with English tack should have English attire.  Riders with Western tack should have Western attire.  Riders will be asked to walk and run / walk.  Judges' option to ask the horse to back.  Any training devices used will be judged accordingly.
  12. Mixed Game-Stick Horse, Sack Race, Spoon Race, and other games.  There will be a different game each week.
  13. Pony Poles-Riders 12 years and under.  Ponies 52" and under.  Knocking over a pole or breaking the pattern will be a disqualification.  No penalty for touching the poles.  Riders who are led around the poles will be place after those who ride alone with a clean run.
  14. Youth Poles-Riders 17 years and under.  Knocking over a pole or breaking the pattern will be a disqualification.  No penalty for touching the poles.
  15. Adult Poles-Riders 18 years and over.  Knocking over a pole or breaking the pattern will be a disqualification.  No penalty for touching the poles.
  16. Pony 1,2, and 3 Barrel-Ponies 52" and under.  Riders 12 and under.  Disqualification for knocking over any of the barrels or breaking the pattern.  Riders who are led around the barrels will be placed after those who ride alone with a clean run.
  17. Youth 1,2, and 3 Barrel-Riders 17 years and under.  Disqualification for knocking over any of the barrels or breaking pattern.  No penalty for touching the barrels.
  18. Adult 1,2, and 3 Barrel-Riders 18 years and over.  Disqualification for knocking over any of the barrels or breaking the pattens.  No penalty for touching the barrels.
  19. Open Flag Race-Any age rider.  Flag must stay inside the bucket and bucket must stay on the barrel.  NO hitting horse with the flag.  Figure 8 flag pattern can be ran.
